This device shares the same technical specifications as the EDP-7000. Its primary advantage is the inclusion of two measurement points on a single base, designed to eliminate gaps in data collection during testing.
OPERATING PRINCIPLE
A specialized electrode is immersed in the solution from which isotopes are to be isolated. This rotating electrode functions as the anode, while the cathode consists of a small metal plate positioned at the bottom of the flask or electrolysis vessel.
A regulated direct current is then passed through the solution, inducing electrolysis—the chemical decomposition of the elements under study—which results in the deposition of the target isotope(s) onto the metal plate.
