MERK industrial mercury vapor analyzer
The presence of mercury in natural gas leads to the embrittlement and failure of metal components in pipelines, as well as in shut-off and control valves. Monitoring the mercury content is particularly critical during the production of liquefied natural gas (LNG), specifically during the gas pre-treatment stage prior to liquefaction. Furthermore, since mercury acts as a catalyst poison, it is essential to monitor its levels in gas used as a feedstock in petrochemical processes.
The "MERK" industrial mercury analyzer has been developed to monitor the concentration of vapors of this toxic element in various types of gas.
Features and Applications
The analyzer is designed for the continuous measurement of the mass concentration of mercury vapors in natural gas and process gases.

gas processing and transportation facilities;

The measurement principle is based on atomic absorption. This method is highly sensitive to elemental mercury particles, enabling the instantaneous determination of the concentration of this toxic substance within a gaseous medium.
